
Sarah Whittington graduated from the University of Kansas in 1986 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree and has been a registered Architect in Colorado since 1995. Looking for a recreational town where she could establish her practice, she moved to Salida in 1993 with her husband Mike. Sarah has worked throughout Chaffee County and the surrounding area, specializing in custom designed homes and light commercial projects. Working extensively in the Salida Historic District, Sarah has helped maintain the commercial viability and the character of the downtown. Sarah’s firm puts strong emphasis on environmentally conscious design that reflects the style and feel of the surrounding community while addressing owners’ unique concerns and budget.

Phil Gamache has worked for Architectural Services since 2004. Moving from Maine in 1999 to work as a raft guide, he started working at Independent Whitewater in May of 2000. After working as a raft guide for five summers, he was hired as a CAD Draftsmen with Architectural Services. Phil has an Architectural and Engineering Associate degree from Southern Maine Community College and has an AutoCAD Professional certification. Today all of our plans are produced using the latest versions of a variety of design programs to produce highly accurate and thoughtful designs and allows for easy collaboration of your project through the internet.

Shane has served as a student intern at Architectural Services from 2008 to 2010. He graduated from Salida High School in 2009 and is now a student in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Shane received his LEED Green Associate accreditation in the Fall of 2010. While pursuing his architecture degree, he has co-founded a national social enterprise that fosters collaboration between Habitat for Humanity and the U.S. Green Building Council.
